I have now looed into the representations mede by Mr. L. Finch concerning his osition in the Hong Kong Police Force, which you forwarded with your letter of the 19th May, and find that most of the points he raises have:lready been fully considered both by the Hong Kong Government and ayself. On the question of recognition for pension purposes of his Home Police service, it would ever that paragraph 4 of the Coloni.1 Secretary's letter (reference 5/1631/470) of the 4th March, of which letter dr. Rinch attached a copy in writing to you, does not apply to himu. The paragraph in question is applicable to ea-lembers of United Kingdom County and Borough Forces corving in the Hong Kong Police and does not apply to ex-letropoliten policemen. Mr. inch is an ex- Metropolitan policeman.
